Tubing conditions and update

Hey Folks,

Well, it’s taken a little bit longer to get some water into Cheesman Reservoir, but we’re finally seeing a little more water below the damn. Yesterday’s increase has raised the current flow from 125cfs, to 174cfs. In this range, this increase makes all the difference. It’s going to be a much more enjoyable float, allowing you to float longer distances without having to get up and walk through shallower sections. With this increase in the flow and today’s forecast, it’s going to be be busy up here today. So, with that in mind, be sure to get here early if you’re planning on using the day-use areas for parking. Also, please remember a few things if you’re planning on using these areas. They are not free to park! The fee to use these areas is $8. Please remember to bring cash, as all the day-use areas are self-pay, unless you are going to try to park at Bridge Crossing. That day-use area is staffed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, every Saturday and Sunday. You can be ticketed by the US Forest Service for not paying when parking or using these areas. Also, please remember that these day-use areas do not provide trash cans or dumpsters for your trash. Please pack it all out. Have a great day and we hope to see you on the river soon!
