Decker’s Fishing Report 9/19/2016
Good evening my friends, and welcome to the abbreviated version of today’s fishing report from Decker’s/Trumbull, Colorado! Keeping in mind that I’m not currently in Colorado, I’ll just be sharing a few of the facts of the current conditions and river flows. 420 cfs below the Cheesman Dam today, with 413 cfs in Decker’s/Trumbull. I’ve been speaking with a few of my fishing buddy’s while I’m gone and they’ve informed me that the evening BWO hatches are increasing as we inch closer to fall. Mornings are still productive with the Trico’s, then moving on to nymphing and dry-dropper rigs in the afternoon. As darkness falls, larger BWO’S, PMD’s, and streamers are also proving to produce nice fish! Next week when I return, I’m hoping to try a few egg patterns as we head into October and the brown trout spawn. Well, that’s probably enough information for today folks! Until next time, have a great evening and I hope to see you on the river next week.
