Good Morning Folks!

We’ve made it through winter and we’re well on our way into the summer season! Lots to get you updated on this morning. First, we’ve had a wonderfully wet couple of days and some much needed moisture is certainly a welcome sight. As I’ll be working for the company that manages the campgrounds and day-use areas again this season, I’ll soon be providing regular updates and information about these areas, as a representative of ExplorUS.  The Day-use areas are $10 this year and are strictly enforced by the U.S.Forest Service, as well as ExplorUS staff. As I’m currently suffering with multiple tears in my rotator cuff, my days out on the river have been few and far between. However, I did manage to get out there yesterday afternoon and managed to get a few in the net. Small, size 22 BWO’S, Hi-vis BWO, and a Griffiths Gnat did it for me. The flow is at 110cfs, with excellent clarity. These fish were very selective yesterday, so make sure you’ve got 6x tippet. If you are looking for a seasonal pass from ExplorUS, formally Rocky Mountain Recreation, I should have a few available on the river this weekend.  Look for me in the Logo truck and I can sell the pass.
