Overview
Not a destination trail, but a fun ride for beginners or those acclimatizing to Colorado’s 9000ft+ altitude. The flowing singletrack through the pines and aspens make the ride enjoyable.
Need to Know
This trail is accessible from May to October, weather allowing. As always, be prepared for the rapid mountain weather changes.
Description
A small parking lot is available just off of Rampart Range Road.
From here, head north towards Lovell Gulch Loop.
The trail can be ridden clockwise or counterclockwise. Riding clockwise will climb up the doubletrack and down the singletrack; counterclockwise just the opposite. The climb is a little harder clockwise, but less technical.
Follow the trail through the Gulch. There are multiple trails within the area for extra exploration.
Halfway through, the trail again meets Rampart Range Road and the trail back is on the west side of the road. This winds through pines and aspens in a flowing singletrack.
At mile five, the trail joins the feeding trail back to the parking lot.
